It is not often that I just pick up a computer programming book, leaf through a few pages and think, this is the best thing I have ever seen. Well the book on patterns in programming languages was one of them. What was even more surprising is that it was inspired by a book on architecture. In fact the I purchased the book on architecture (as far as I know, the first one). It is inspirational. Then today, on a Yahoo group about life styles, I also find a link back to the book's new website. Wow.
People liked our book very much. We were surprised though, when we found out computer programmers liked it, because it was about building not programming. But the programmers said, "this is great, it helps think about patterns in programming and how to write reusable code that we can call upon when we need it."
